Development of typographic poster

Im going to show here my development with making the ideas for my poster. I am just going to do lots of different ideas that experiment with the many ways that I can use the text.

I quite like going simple, so I think I might do a few illustrations to match the quote that I have chosen to go for.

For my first attempt at a few designs I have chosen this quote:

Finding the perfect typeface is like finding true love,
discouraging when you don't, sublime when you do.

sadly, for this quote I don't know who said it, but I love the quote so much I really wanted to use it.
I think its beautiful and links perfectly to type and life in general.

This is my first idea for the poster. I have simply just played around with the typeface "Helvetica Neue' within the family of the fonts. (Ultralight, Light and Italics) Using colour to make certain words more valuable. I'm going to continue making other design, do some illustrations to try and make this my own and in my style, as this type of thing has been done plenty of times, I think that I need to do something that fits in with my work.
I also need to get away from this typeface also, I use it quite alot and I think that it would be good for me to go for a wider view on other more different typefaces to what I am used to and get them to work for me within this project.

----------------------

I have started some new designs and decided to change my quote as I thought that there was alot more that I could do with the words. I think there may of been a few too many words to play around with in the previous quote.

This quote is:

'Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else'
Margaret Mead

Here are a few screenshots of my development for this next idea.

I thought that the block colour of the black looked quite good, but then I put the other text around the main feature of the piece and I don't think it works as well any more.
I am going to experiment a little more and change things slightly.
I want to add some illustration to it too, to show the humorous side to this quote.

Attempt one of this quote.

Attempt two of this quote.
I have added the name of the person who it came from, quotation marks.
